R & R Enterprise

RevITaliseHamelin Trust’s Reuse and Recycling Enterprise aims to:

  • Have a positive impact on reducing the hundreds of tonnes of reusable/recyclable waste being tipped into landfill, including furniture, bric-a-brac, Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment (WEEE) and much more…
  • Provide accreddited training for people with disabilities and others disadvantaged in the workplace
  • Give adults with learning disabilities the opportunity to learn transferable work related skills, including health and safety, customer care, retail, computer skills, etc

 

Furniture RestorationWithin the Reuse and Recycling Enterprise we have a number of training areas where new skills can be learnt, including:

  • RevITalise – recycling and reuse of unwanted computers
  • Furniture Restoration – old furniture is given a new lease of life
  • Warehouse /depot – donated items are sorted for reuse, recycling or for sale
  • Retail outlet – items that have been collected and refurbished are sold to the general public at reasonable prices

Nationally recognised accredited training will be available to the project attendees through the NPTC (Natoinal Proficiency Test Council) Entry Level Certificate in Skills for Working Life and other City and Guilds courses.
