On Thursday 12th July, we headed over to our local Jewson to say thank you for popping in to tell us about the award.
Just a week after finding out that we had been granted £3,000 in building materials towards our Day Opportunities expansion from Jewson’s Building Better Communities, we thanked the staff at our local store. Meeting with shop manager Shaun Smith and also area director Lee Tomkinson, our representatives gave a quick run down of the project as well as thanking them for their support.
With these building materials, we will be able to expand our work based projects and provide individual and specific space for the individuals in our IT restoration programme and furniture restoration project. By expanding this space, we will also be able to provide more adults with learning disabilities with the opportunity to make new friends and gain new, valuable skills.
