Since December 2016, Hamelin Trust has been in partnership with Sainsbury’s Local in Radford Way, Billericay, who have been supporting us through fundraising days, sponsored walks, and more!
It started when the store was newly opened and we held our first fundraising event, where we received a lovely donation of fresh fruit and vegetables for Hamelin House and Day Opportunities. The lovely Ladybirds Song Group came along to sing Christmas Carols and fan favourites throughout the years. The months that followed saw us come back to do a number of fundraising and promotional days in store, where members of the kind public donated to improve the lives of those we support.
The Sainsbury’s staff have also taken time out to volunteer for us and also raise funds at the Barleylands Fun Walk. (Click here to find out more about this year’s walk.)
Along with collection tins at tills and a very kind donation made from the bag sales, Sainsbury’s Local and the customers have made a huge difference to the children and adults we support! They have raised a fantastic £4,031.39!
