In June 1999 the Trust became an approved provider for a Community Support service for adults with learning disabilities.
This service supports people within their local communities. The service assists people to develop independence skills, access community facilities of their choice and to develop and maintain relationships, maximising the opportunities people have to engage in community life. The service aims to meet the individual needs of service users, providing one to one support from one hour a week to 24-hour support, seven days a week.
The Community Support service provides whatever level of support is required to enable individuals with learning disabilities to live/remain in their own homes and live their chosen lifestyle.
