The Bungalow is situated in the residential area of Shotgate, Wickford and is close to a range of small shops including a post office and GP surgery. It is easily accessible by public transport.
A large park is within a 5-minute walk from the Bungalow and is enjoyed by the residents regularly.
The Bungalow is registered with and regulated by the CQC and is currently rated as being a ‘good’ service.
The parents and/or advocates of the residents are actively encouraged to be involved in their relatives lives at the Bungalow, thus ensuring all residents’ care and support is person-centred around the resident’s individual preferences. We believe that helping residents to maintain family and friend relationships is paramount.
The home is well equipped to meet the needs of our residents with ceiling hoists, profiling beds, a jacuzzi bath and is wheelchair accessible throughout.
The Bungalow prides itself on being welcoming and homely. Residents enjoy spending time in our fully paved, secluded south-facing garden, which is perfect for having BBQs, using the lazy spa or just relaxing in, listening to music.
Each resident is funded by either Social Care or Continuing Health Care. The Bungalow staff team provide 24-hour a day support to residents which we ensure is dignified, compassionate and bespoke care that encourages residents to be as independent as possible.
Residents are encouraged to participate in a variety of in-house activities and to access their local and wider communities giving them opportunities to experience new activities and places of interest, all of which enables them to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life.
