Clubs for Young People

Hamelin Trust is now running four term-time clubs for children and young people with disabilities.  Based in Billericay, these clubs are open to all families with children with disabilities in Essex.

All those who attend will have the opportunity to make new friends and engage in a wide variety of activities to gain new skills and experiences.

Family Drop In Sessions

For children aged 0-5 and 6-11

We have two different sessions for the two age groups.  For children aged 0-5 we have sessions between 1pm and 3pm, and for children aged 6-11 the sessions are 3.30pm until 5.30pm.

These sessions are designed for parents/carers to stay and play alongside their children while they make friends in a safe and supported environment.  There are many different activities families could get involved in, such as: have fun in the soft play area; relax in the sensory room; play in the wheelchair accessible outdoor play area; finger paint; and much more!

We have a number of dates available with sessions only costing £3.50!*

CanTeen Club

For young people aged 12-18

Aimed at teenagers and young people with disabilities to give them a chance to spend time with other their own age and away from their parents, this club is for them to make new friends and gain independence.

CanTeen does not only give young people the chance to socialise with others, but also to find new, exciting hobbies and interests.  The group will get to choose what activities they would like to do that afternoon, such as: watching films as a part of film night; going bowling; cooking; taking part in outdoor pursuits, like rounders; and much more!

Starting at 3.30pm and finishing at 7.30pm, this club will give young people with disabilities the chance to gain some independence from their parents.

Sessions available at only £5!
