Gowlands in Rochford is Hamelin Trust’s short break service for adults with learning and complex disabilities

Set in five spacious acres, the site (which is also home to our Hydrotherapy Pool and horticultural project, Roots and Shoots) provides a relaxed yet stimulating environment for our service users.

We require an experienced Deputy Manager to work alongside the Registered Manager of Gowlands.

The ideal candidate will have worked with learning disabled people (and ideally those with complex needs) preferably in a short break or residential setting.

Previous experience of managing staff, administration of medication and a sound knowledge of CQC regulations is required.  A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook is also needed as is experience of report and care plan writing.  A person-centred approach to care and support is essential.

You will be self-motivated and able to lead and motivate a staff team, an excellent communicator and committed to enhancing the lives of our services users whilst safeguarding their wellbeing at all times.

Some daytime shift working will be required (early and late shifts between 7am and 10.00pm) including alternate weekend working.
