We are recruiting full & part time support workers to join the excellent team in our Outreach/Community Support Service. Based out of Billericay you will be supporting children and adults with learning disabilities and/or physical and sensory disabilities to attend college and clubs and engage in a range of community-based activities – like bowling, cinema, shopping, swimming as well as providing support in their homes.
Most of our support sessions are a minimum of few hours or could be a full day so flexible working to accommodate the needs of the service users will be required including alternate weekend working. Support workers work a range of hours but rarely necessitating split shift working.
Whilst experience is preferred, full training is provided. A caring nature and a genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities fulfil their potential is essential.
A full driving licence and a willingness to drive Hamelin Trust and client vehicles is essential. Ideally you will also have access to your own vehicle for business purposes.
Hamelin Trust is a progressive and forward thinking organisation with good old fashion values of care and support.
We offer our service users safe and stimulating environments and we require dedicated and flexible staff to help us maintain a person-centrered, tailored approach to those we support.
In return we offer competitive pay including weekend, bank holiday and night enhancements (for direct care), free induction and on-going training including Diploma studies and a warm welcome to all new staff!
Hamelin Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the interests of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to a completed DBS check, satisfactory to the organisation, plus the completion all other required pre-employment checks.
