Gowlands in Rochford is an eight bedded short break service for adults with learning and multiple disabilities. Located just off Sutton Road in a spacious and tranquil 5-acre setting, Gowlands provide a stimulating but relaxed, supportive friendly environment to enable guests to enjoy their stays away from home.
Due to increasing demand for the service, we require full and part time support workers to join our friendly and dedicated staff team.
Shift working (early shifts and late shifts of 7.5 hours) is on a rota basis including alternate weekends.
Whilst experience of working with learning disabilities is an advantage, a caring nature and a genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities fulfil their potential is essential.
A full driving licence and a willingness to drive Hamelin Trust vehicles is preferred, though not essential.
Full training, including the Care Certificate is provided free of charge, as is the DBS check. Free onsite parking.
